MONTAUK WITH JIM JARMUSCH
Director Jim Jarmusch (Dead Man, Stranger than Paradise) and

Jarmusch ponders the existential question "Why am I here?" Lurie,
however, approches the situation with insane zeal.

an invigorating canoe trip across the island. Waits gets seasick but
heroically agrees to fish again, for red snapper, which he puts in his
pants.
EPISODE 3:
COSTA RICA WITH MATT DILLON
Lurie and veteran actor Dillon (Drugstore Cowboy) board an unregistered
prop plane and fly deep into the jungle to fish the alligator-infested waters of the
Rio Colorado. Following the advice of a native mystic, the two perform a ritual dance to attract fish.
EPISODE 4:
MAINE WITH WILLEM DAFOE
Lurie and Dafoe (Platoon) brave subzero temperatures to go ice-fishing for brown trout. They pull a few under-limit specimens from the frozen lake, which they dutifully release. But any luck ends there. The days pass: their meager ration of cheese crackers runs out, and the two become delirious with hunger and cold. These are real men doing real things.
EPISODE 5:
THAILAND WITH DENNIS HOPPER, part 1
Lurie goes deep into the Thai delta with Dennis Hopper, who has electrified movies from Easy Rider to Blue Velvet. The two tourists have come to chase the series' biggest prey yet: the elusive, bloodthirsty giant squid.

THAILAND WITH DENNIS HOPPER, part 2
The repartee between the two is undeniably effervescent: "Anybody ever tell you that you look like a murderer?" Lurie asks. "Yeah, my wife," Hopper replies. |
